Birkie Trail Run
The Birkie Trail Run is fast becomming one of the “big” events in Hayward. Looking at growth statistics, Dennis Kruse says that the Trail Run should be bigger that the Birkie in just a few short years. If you’re going to try to win, you’ll have to get by two-time defending Champion Brian Gregg first. Based on his improvement from last year to this year, look for Brian to break the Half-Marathon World Record about the time the Trail Run has more participants than the Birkie!
Kristina Owen won the women’s 5km running race, while Salomon’s Kevin Johnson took the men’s 5km. It was a beautiful day in Hayward, just starting to look like fall!
